I played through Quantum Break. After a break of over 1 year.
Quantum Break captivated me enormously over a year ago. This was due to the cinematic presentation with top-class actors and, of course, the story, which deals with the topic of time travel in an extremely ingenious way. The overall package was just right. But then came the final boss fight and I failed and failed and failed.
I used to be someone who would repeat myself until I finally won the fight. Today, however, my time is limited and I don't like to invest it in the same fight over and over again. And so I abandoned the game. For over a year. I had almost forgotten what happened up until the boss fight when I sat down again today and finally defeated the final boss with a walkthrough from the Internet. I then watched the end sequence and had absolutely no idea what this resolution was supposed to do for me.
Remember: If the story is complex, don't just leave the game for a long time, but play it right through, no matter how nerve-wracking it is. Because if you start again later, you can actually start from the beginning.
For my part, I'm now looking for a YouTube video that will explain the story to me in 5 minutes. Until then, happy gaming. 😄
